The Water festival in Thailand or Songkran festival is celebrated every year on 13-15 April. It coincides with the New Year of many other calendars in South and Southeast Asia countries such as Thailand, Burma, Cambodia and Laos.It is simply called the 'Water Festival' because people throw water at one another all over the country. The water-throwing can sometimes get too rough, but nobody is supposed to get angry. the festival has assumed a more lively and boisterous tone and is now a national water fight.
